Overview

Thornton Tomasetti is an independent organization applying engineering and scientific principles to solve global challenges. The Structural Project Engineer will play a key technical role in the Forensics Practice, guiding junior engineers and delivering innovative forensic solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and refine structural evaluations and failure analyses.
  • Drive the quality of deliverables by organizing information and reviewing junior staff’s work.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders while taking on increased responsibility for technical decisions.
  • Support junior team members through effective delegation and feedback.
  • Grow project leadership skills by assisting with project management activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering; Master’s or PhD preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Structural Engineer (SE) licensure preferred.
  • 4+ years of structural engineering experience with proficiency in analysis and documentation tools.
  • Ability to solve complex problems with confidence and adapt designs effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to mentor junior staff.
