Overview

Granite Construction is seeking a MSE Structure Wall/Foreman to supervise and coordinate work crews involved in concrete preparation and application for various structures. The company values its employees as its most important asset and aims to build a strong partnership with them.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees workers who place forms for molding concrete, install reinforcing steel, and convey, pour, finish, and cure concrete.
  • Reads specifications sheets for information to ensure concrete is mixed according to specifications.
  • Inspects bracing and shoring of concrete forms to ensure their stability before and during pouring.
  • Indicates positions for pouring chutes and runways, cranes, or paving machines to facilitate conveying concrete from mixer to forms.
  • Trains new workers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience.
  • 2 to 4 years of work experience.
  • Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently.
  • Competence in beginning algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to read safety rules and instructions for tools and equipment.
