Overview

Nevada Gold Mines (NGM) is seeking an Open Pit Fabricator/Welder for their Cortez operations. This role is part of the Maintenance team and involves installing, repairing, and fabricating metal materials while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain welds on various items using a variety of processes to ensure availability and safety.
• Install various items such as safety devices and railings to complete projects safely and on time.
• Maintain shop, equipment, tools, and vehicles to ensure their availability and safety.
• Coordinate with administration and other personnel to complete projects and work orders efficiently.
• Assist other personnel as needed to support their work activities.

Requirements

• Two or more years of experience in maintenance of mobile, farm, trucking, aircraft, military, or support equipment preferred.
• Basic knowledge of manual arc, tungsten inert gas, metallic inert gas, brazing, and Air Arc required.
• Ability to work safely and effectively with minimal supervision required.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people required.
• Ability to accomplish strenuous physical labor under all weather conditions required.
• Lift at least 50 lbs. required.
• Proven safe work record with belief in courageous leadership model required.
• Ability to support team in safety, environmental, equipment protection, and production goals with a proven safety record required.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days is an essential function of this role.
