Overview

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking a Certified Welder for maintenance and repair of certified welding for specialized assets in a refinery environment based in La Porte, TX. The company prioritizes health and safety while offering competitive wages and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Weld materials using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW.
  • Perform basic fitting tasks.
  • Understand raw materials and MTR’s and electrode classifications.
  • Conduct gouging processes including air carbon arc, plasma arc, and oxy-fuel.
  • Utilize cutting processes with mechanical and power tools, oxy-fuel plasma arc, air carbon arc, and electric arc.
  • Clean and check for defects in component parts.
  • Perform quality control.
  • Follow directions from drawings, blueprints, and work orders.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma plus specialized training or 1 year of college.
  • 5 to 7 years of welding experience.
  • Fabrication skills including cutting and grinding.
  • GMAW Certification.
  • SMAW Certification.
  • FCAW Certification.
  • GTAW Certification.

What you'll be running

It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
