Overview

The Mundy Companies, a leading provider in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is hiring experienced Insulators for a Turnaround in the Pasadena, TX area.

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints and select required insulation material.
  • Brush adhesives on or attach metal adhesive backed pins to surfaces as necessary to facilitate the application of insulation material.
  • Use staples, tape, or wire bands for fastening as required.
  • Measure and cut insulation material to specified size and shape for covering flat or round surfaces.
  • Fit, wrap, or attach required insulation material around or to structure, following blueprint specifications.
  • Cover or seal insulation with preformed plastic covers, canvas strips, sealant, or tape.
  • Screw on sheet metal around insulated pipes to protect the insulation from weather conditions or physical abuse.

Requirements

  • NCCER Preferred, but not required.
  • 2+ years of practical field experience.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Must be craft certified or able to pass a craft test.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Additional Information

  • Work may involve both indoors and outdoors, in extreme hot or cold weather conditions.
  • May require standing for most of the workday, bending, stooping, and/or squatting.
  • May require climbing about machinery and climbing ladders, scaffolds, and catwalks.
  • Must be able to wear respiratory equipment when required.
