Overview

Openwork is seeking an Industrial Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join the engineering and maintenance team at their Pasadena facility. This role involves executing mechanical maintenance activities in a safety-critical environment, ensuring machinery and equipment remain in optimal condition.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, install, adjust, or replace machinery and processing components.
  • Demonstrate understanding of core mechanical systems including bearings, conveyors, and hydraulic systems.
  • Assist in the plant’s preventative maintenance programs and log completed work orders.
  • Perform routine pipefitting, plant plumbing, and minor pump repairs.
  • Coordinate with the PM crew and shift operations to execute scheduled repairs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in maintenance shops and work areas.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in process equipment maintenance.
  • Proven ability to interpret technical documentation including blueprints and schematics.
  • Valid NCCER Certificate or equivalent training is preferred.
  • Basic familiarity with OSHA requirements for chemical production processes.
  • Practical skills in MS Word and MS Excel.
