Overview

The Maintenance Technician position is a hands-on role providing technical expertise in the maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance of facility equipment in a validated, cGMP environment. The role includes responsibilities for maintaining shop tools, inventory, and the department’s CMMS while adhering to Lean and 5S principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform predictive and preventative maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facility buildings.
• Conduct daily, weekly, quarterly, and semi-annual safety/maintenance inspections.
• Respond to maintenance calls on a 24/7 basis and maintain a spare parts program.
• Install, repair, and service ventilation, heat, and air conditioning systems.
• Comply with environmental requirements for waste management.
• Install and repair facility lighting and wiring fixtures.
• Maintain and analyze a production downtime record.
• Adhere to Lock-out, Tag out procedures for employee safety.
• Analyze new ways to improve operations and respond to audit findings.
• Attend workshops and training to maintain mechanical and technical skills.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in maintenance systems.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English; Spanish preferred in PR.
• Computer literacy including word processing and spreadsheet capabilities.
• Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
• Above average organizing, analyzing, and Level 3 math skills.
• Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanics, or electrical applications.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Normal hearing range sufficient to hear alarms and signals.

Additional Information

• Employee Schedule: Wednesday Noon - 6pm, Thursday thru Saturday - 6am - 6pm.
• Position may require after hours emergency response activities.
