Overview

Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain semiconductor process piping systems, ensuring proper routing and secure connections.
  • Perform pipe cutting, threading, and joining using techniques such as welding, brazing, and compression fittings.
  • Read and accurately interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Conduct leak testing, pressure testing, and inspections to verify the functionality and safety of piping systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during tool installation, including utility alignment and leak detection.
  • Perform material handling, equipment setup, and workspace cleanup in compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of piping installations and inspections for project documentation.
  • Collaborate with other trades and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
  • Participate in on-the-job training and classroom instruction to develop technical skills.
  • For experienced candidates, lead teams, coordinate solutions for material shortages, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Specific experience in process piping installation and maintenance preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to the semiconductor industry's technical requirements.
  • Ability to follow cleanroom protocols.
  • Proficiency in process piping installation, including routing and securing pipes.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Competency in various pipe joining techniques.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor cleanroom standards and process piping installation protocols.
  • For advanced levels, knowledge of gas, chemical, plastic, UPW line installation and pressure testing.
