Overview

Datwyler is a high-tech company that produces system-critical elastomer components for various global markets, including healthcare and mobility. The Electro-Mechanical Apprentice role involves learning to maintain production and quality performance levels while adhering to established procedures and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, install, and repair equipment and machinery.
• Adhere to all safety rules in accordance with SOPs, GMP, and safety regulations.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality to meet production needs.
• Demonstrate company values and Code of Conduct.
• Participate in department meetings and suggest improvements.

Requirements

• High School or GED equivalent is required.
• Completion of Electrical program or 2 years’ experience in manufacturing maintenance.
• Licensure in forklift, plumbing, electrical, or boiler operator is a plus.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Mechanical and electrical ability.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and basic knowledge of PLCs.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and computer skills.

• Position requires standing for prolonged periods (8+ hours) with scheduled breaks.
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs and pushing/pulling of 50 lbs is required.
• Work conditions are typical of a manufacturing environment.
• Employee must work an established 40-hour workweek with potential additional hours.
