Overview

The Locksmith/Carpenter/Mason position at Albert Einstein Medical Center involves assisting maintenance technicians with general repairs, installations, and inspections to ensure regulatory compliance in a hospital setting. The role requires a variety of skills including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with urgent, corrective, routine, preventative, and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing equipment and systems.
  • Maintain routine records of all inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs performed on any equipment or system.
  • Make scheduled rounds of building areas to inspect lighting fixtures and identify regulatory compliance deficiencies.
  • Perform manual duties such as moving supplies, furniture, replacing light bulbs, and trash removal.
  • Perform other duties in areas such as air conditioning, carpentry, electrical, painting, plant operations, and plumbing as directed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent or Trade School required.
  • Previous related experience preferred.
  • Understanding of electrical safety and lockout/tagout standards.
