Job Description

Overview

Noblis MSD is seeking a Submarine Quality Assurance Specialist to support the U.S. Navy in ensuring material integrity and compliance with SUBSAFE requirements across various submarine classes. The role involves providing technical oversight and quality assurance to submarine systems and components.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and conduct vendor oversight and surveillance of in-process manufacturing, assembly, repair, and testing activities.
  • Perform material identification and inventory verification inspections of manufactured equipment and components.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations of vendor processes to assess compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Provide technical evaluation, troubleshooting, and investigation of discrepancies in submarine systems and equipment.
  • Review, investigate, and adjudicate non-conformances and discrepancies during various phases of production.
  • Perform surveillance and oversight of shipboard and shop SUBSAFE work and testing.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute checklists and attribute guides for SUBSAFE audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience, OR High School diploma and 9 years of progressive submarine-related experience.
  • Formal training in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in accordance with ASME Y14.5.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 10% in support of vendor facilities and Navy activities.
  • U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
