Overview

At Universal Pure, we’re dedicated to giving people everywhere safe, fresh, and delicious food to eat and drink. We provide high-pressure processing (HPP), value-added services (VAS) and cold storage for our partners in the food industry. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance on various equipment and ensuring optimal operation.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain high pressure processing equipment and VAS equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance checks and replace wear parts.
  • Conduct major PMs requiring machine downtime and rebuild.
  • Troubleshoot and replace AC and DC electrical equipment.
  • Inspect and repair mechanical components such as motors and conveyor belts.
  • Inspect and repair pneumatic equipment including air compressors and pumps.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections of plant equipment.
  • Maintain all maintenance tools in good working order.
  • Ensure equipment is returned in a food-ready sanitary condition.
  • Follow health, safety, and cleanliness standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Manufacturing or 2 years in maintenance.
  • Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams and manuals.
  • Successfully complete OSHA 10 or 30 training course.
  • Flexibility with work schedule and duties.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to balance productivity, quality, and safety.

Additional Information

  • 3rd shift available from 10:00pm to 6:00am, Monday to Friday.
  • On-call ability as needed for business support.
  • Weekend work required for major preventative maintenance tasks.
