Overview

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for their 1st shift team, dedicated to producing quality mechanical power transmission components and systems. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment while ensuring safety and efficiency in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose equipment and machinery issues to identify the root cause of failures.
• Repair machinery and equipment as needed and perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Maintain facilities equipment, tools, and the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Conduct maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Follow all safety protocols, including lockout and tagout procedures.
• Accurately document all repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts used.
• Assist in other areas or departments as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years in a manufacturing or facilities maintenance role.
• Ability to perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Strong skills in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Basic welding and metal fabrication skills.
• Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and CNC machinery.
• Proficient in working with 110V, 220V, and 480V systems.
• Physically capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning heavy components.
• Able to perform tasks independently and collaborate effectively.
• Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment.
• Flexibility to work scheduled hours, including overtime.
• Comfortable working in variable temperature settings.
• Professional and respectful communication with all levels of staff.
• Consistent reliability and attention to detail.
