Overview

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Precision Electromechanical Assembler 3 for the 2nd shift in Rolling Meadows, IL. The role involves executing mechanical assembly tasks for optical-mechanical assemblies and requires a combination of technical skills and hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical assembly, integration, and modification of complex systems and components.
  • Read and interpret drawings, schematics, work instructions, and assembly documentation.
  • Use a wide range of precision hand tools, torque tools, measuring equipment, and mechanical test equipment.
  • Perform mechanical fit-up, alignment, and hardware installation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of 4 years of mechanical assembly work experience or an Associate's degree with 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Hands-on experience with various tooling and equipment.
  • Experience following work instructions and reading/interpreting drawings.
  • Experience with building or working with wire harnesses and/or cable assemblies.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
