Overview

Nammo Defense Systems Inc. is a defense contractor that manufactures and supports various energetic material solutions and composite solutions. The Energetic Assembler position involves performing assembly and test functions in a production environment while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic assembly and test functions utilizing mechanical skills and tools.
  • Handle hazardous and non-hazardous materials as part of the manufacturing process.
  • Read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Process Specifications (PS).
  • Ensure safe processing of products that meet quality requirements.
  • Perform general daily housekeeping and cleaning of equipment and area.
  • Conduct general maintenance of equipment as required.
  • Recognize and report operational variances as trained.
  • Display competent dexterity for safe handling of explosive devices.
  • Perform minor set-up for specific equipment when required.
  • Wear and maintain Personal Protective Equipment as required.

Requirements

  • Experience in Aerospace, Energetic or Manufacturing Assembly.
  • 2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required.
  • Ability to walk/stand 80% of the time.
  • Able to lift 5 lbs. constantly, 25 lbs. occasionally, and 50 lbs. infrequently.
  • Must have the ability to understand and speak English, as well as read and write in English.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Experience in manufacturing, assembly, and packaging.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office products preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an ATF Possessor license.
  • Ability to pass a background and drug test.

Additional Information

  • Monday-Thursday work week working four 10-hour days.
  • Off on Fridays.
  • Weekend overtime may be required.
