Overview

Optiv Energy Inc. is a founder-led renewable energy field services company focused on utility scale battery energy storage systems (BESS), solar, and wind projects. They are seeking motivated Field Service Technicians with direct BESS and Solar experience to manage various scopes of work on renewable energy power plants during construction and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical support and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Travel to client sites to oversee, install, and/or repair utility scale battery energy storage and solar systems.
  • Perform cold/hot commissioning.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Document all service activities, including repairs, replacements, and upgrades, using internal systems.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols.

Requirements

  • Technical Degree or equivalent field experience.
  • Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or a similar role.
  • A positive and team-focused mindset.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and/or energy systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively to client sites.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular business hours and weekends.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
