The Assembly B position involves performing a variety of assembly tasks under moderate supervision to support production objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electro-mechanical assembly and inner chassis wiring using hand tools.
  • Assemble simple to complex cable and harness assemblies as required.
  • Apply soldering skills to Military specifications or ANSI-J-STD-001 standards.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly blueprints, and work orders.
  • Identify hardware and understand standard installation sequences.
  • Select and use appropriate hand tools and equipment for assembly operations.
  • Move, lift, or manipulate parts and assemblies weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Maintain compliance with safety rules and manufacturing procedures.
  • Accurately record time charged to jobs performed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Communicate questions and production issues promptly to supervisors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of related experience.
  • 1 to 4 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret assembly blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Working knowledge of cable harness and electro-mechanical assembly processes.
  • Understanding of hardware requirements and installation practices.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and workmanship.
