Overview

Chromalloy is a global engineering and solutions company that provides aftermarket parts, repairs, and solutions to extend the life of aircraft engines and gas turbines. The company is seeking an Overlay Support Technician to assist with Electron Beam Physical Vapor Deposition (EBPVD) coating operations in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support EBPVD coating operations by preparing tooling, equipment, and production materials.
  • Perform turnarounds of EBPVD coaters and supporting coating process equipment.
  • Set up coating chambers, surveys, rakes, and tooling according to work instructions.
  • Grit, prepare, maintain, and inspect EBPVD tooling.
  • Prepare, build, and process EBPVD rakes for production use.
  • Operate ovens, grit machines, and other preparation equipment.
  • Read and follow process specifications and work instructions.
  • Support production schedules while maintaining quality and compliance.
  • Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
  • Ability to perform EBPVD coater turnarounds and support coating process equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to perform chamber setups of surveys, rakes, and tooling according to established procedures.
  • Ability to grit, prepare, maintain, and inspect EBPVD tooling.
  • Ability to prep, build, and process EBPVD rakes.
  • Ability to safely operate ovens, grit machines, and related equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to wear a respirator and comply with all PPE requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Additional Information

  • Shift: 2nd shift, Monday-Friday 3:00p-11:00p.
  • Union: This position is represented by Local 475.
  • Shift Differential: 10%.
  • Starting Rate: $28.64/hr.
  • Training: New hires must train on 1st shift for a minimum of 90 days.
