Overview

Thales is seeking a Line Maintenance Technician to perform line maintenance, installation, and repair work on In-Flight Entertainment systems at JFK Airport. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical skills to ensure safety, compliance, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced airport environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and system modifications on Thales In-Flight Entertainment systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently to ensure minimal aircraft downtime.
  • Document all airline logbook discrepancies related to Thales systems in a timely manner.
  • Submit detailed reports of maintenance activities to the Supervisor of Maintenance.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements during maintenance activities.
  • Maintain compliance with FAA regulations and safety standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain airport security requirements.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Strong avionics and electronics knowledge.
  • Ability to analyze data and troubleshoot issues.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and fluency in English.

Additional Information

  • Flexible work schedule required, including days, evenings, midnights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Work is performed in outdoor aircraft ramp environments and/or hangars.
