Overview

As the QA/QC Supervisor, you will lead the QA/QC Project Team, ensuring effective inspection processes and resolution of quality issues while adhering to company standards. ACCO Engineered Systems is a leading mechanical contractor dedicated to the design, installation, and maintenance of HVAC and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the QA/QC Project Team and coach direct reports.
• Ensure the First-in Inspection process reduces risk and costs.
• Audit the execution of the Project Specific Quality Control Plan.
• Work with the Project Management Team to support project success.
• Plan and conduct analysis, inspection, design, and testing.
• Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation.
• Apply statistical process control methods for data analysis.
• Engage with the General Contractor’s Quality Assurance Manager.
• Provide project quality expectations to new inspectors.
• Attend weekly project update meetings.
• Review purchased products and provide input on acceptance.
• Document data from quality assurance activities.
• Communicate significant issues and recommend process improvements.
• Prepare reports on quality assurance activities.
• Maintain knowledge of quality assurance codes and standards.
• Develop new approaches to solve quality assurance problems.
• Prepare and present technical information to team members.
• Direct technical and administrative workers in quality assurance.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• 10 years of overall experience and/or training in relevant fields.
• At least 8 years of experience in Quality Control focused on ASME B31 piping codes.
• Current certification as a Senior Certified Welding Inspector or Certified Welding Inspector preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience leading and managing direct reports.
• Proficient understanding of ASME Section IX BP&V Code.
• Ability to read, write, and problem solve effectively.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Ability to calculate figures and apply basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.

Additional Information

• Work hours are Monday through Friday, starting between 6:00 am and 7:00 am and ending between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm.
• Occasional overtime may be necessary based on business needs.
• Travel required based on business needs to various locations.
