Overview

The Production Technician - 1st Shift position involves completing various part finishing tasks under direct supervision. This entry-level role requires basic mechanical aptitude and the use of hand tools and powered equipment, with a focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
  • Conduct in-process inspection (visual & functional, recording).
  • Set work priority and schedule.
  • Perform full machine setups.
  • Provide leadership and training to lower level employees.
  • Complete production paperwork and operation audits.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Basic inspection processes (tools & measurements).
  • Advanced understanding of machine function (setups).
  • Advanced knowledge of tools (drills, reams, taps).
  • Strong communication skills with manufacturing engineers, QA, closing, and management.
  • Typically 2-4 years of recent and relevant work experience or training.
  • High School Diploma or GED is expected.
