Overview

At TSMC Arizona, engineering departments are seeking talented interns for various facility roles within their advanced technology fab in Phoenix, Arizona. Interns will embody core values of Integrity, Commitment, Innovation, and Customer Trust while contributing to impactful projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the operation and validation of electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, and generators.
• Assist in the operation and validation of mechanical systems, including HVAC and chilled water systems.
• Support the operation and validation of water treatment systems, including ultrapure water and wastewater systems.
• Assist in the operation and validation of gas and chemical systems, including chemical delivery and waste systems.
• Manage systems for storing and distributing specialty and bulk chemicals and gases.
• Collaborate with construction teams to oversee concrete, steel structures, and architectural finishes.
• Monitor and track electrical installation and troubleshooting activities.
• Collaborate on advanced ultra-pure water systems and specialty wastewater treatment systems.
• Monitor and track construction activities for HVAC and clean room systems.

Requirements

• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Currently enrolled at an accredited university in a relevant engineering degree program.
• Able to work full-time for 10 weeks on-site in Phoenix.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes is a strong plus.
• Flexibility to change priorities and responsibilities as needed.
• Self-motivated learner with good collaboration skills.
• Strong communication, computer, presentation, and listening skills.
• Ability to lift weights in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Able to work in a cleanroom environment and spend time on the factory floor.
