Overview

Venture Global LNG is a provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas, focusing on low-cost solutions to meet global demand. They are seeking an Associate Structural Engineer for their Houston office to assist in engineering and design tasks related to structural projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the review of engineering and design documents for Piling & Foundation and Module & Stick Built Steel Pipe Racks/Structures.
  • Ensure compliance with design standards, specifications, and local codes.
  • Perform reviews of vendor documents to meet specifications and data sheet requirements.
  • Consider multiple solutions and make decisions based on data analysis.
  • Manage several assignments simultaneously.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the refining and petrochemical industry, preferably with EPC experience in LNG projects.
  • Ability to self-direct work with limited supervision.
  • Coordinate work within the discipline department as a project team representative.
  • Adapt to varying demands of work and manage changes.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Collaborate across departments and involve others in problem-solving.
  • Experience managing and responding to RFIs from construction teams, vendors, and EPC contractors.
  • Proficiency in STAAD Pro, Risa, STAAD Foundation, Mat 3D Foundation, 3D MathCAD, Navisworks, Microstation, and AutoCAD.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.

  • This position is located in Downtown Houston.
  • It is a Monday-Friday in-office position.
