Job Description

Overview

Dewberry is seeking an Entry Level Structural (Bridge) Engineer to work in its Bloomfield, NJ office. The successful candidate will design bridges and transportation-related structures while being part of a team that values exceptional talent and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Design simple and complex bridges primarily of steel and concrete construction.
  • Design a variety of transportation-related structures including retaining walls, culverts, and sign structures.
  • Develop contract plans and prepare engineer's estimates and construction specifications.
  • Perform construction support services.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering (MS in Structural Engineering preferable).
  • 0 - 4 years of experience in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam is preferred.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency using CADD (Microstation preferred).
  • A desire to work in a team environment.
  • Prior experience with NJDOT or NJ Turnpike Authority standards is preferred, but not required.

  • The projected salary range for this position is $84,000 - $86,500 annually.
