Job Description

Overview

Atwell, LLC is a leader in consulting, engineering, and construction services, focusing on creative solutions for clients in real estate, land development, and energy markets. They are seeking a licensed Civil/Structural Engineer with experience in the Oil and Gas industry to lead structural design efforts for various infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the civil and structural engineering design for oil and gas infrastructure projects.
  • Develop construction documents, including structural plans and connection details.
  • Support the design and coordination of ductwork systems within oil and gas facilities.
  • Conduct structural analysis under various loading conditions in accordance with applicable codes.
  • Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, and reports.
  • Collaborate with multidiscipline teams to coordinate structural requirements.
  • Perform field visits to verify as-built conditions and provide construction support.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers and support team development.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Support quality assurance by implementing QA/QC procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 7+ years of experience in civil/structural engineering for oil and gas facilities.
  • Proficient in structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, RISA, or SAP2000.
  • Working knowledge of CAD software tools including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor, Navisworks, or Tekla Structures is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable design codes: AISC, ACI, ASCE, API, IBC.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
