Overview

The Welder Apprentice position involves grinding, polishing, and sharpening welded parts to meet customer specifications while maintaining a clean work environment and adhering to safety rules.

Responsibilities

  • Grind, polish, sand, and sharpen welded parts to ensure conformance to established customer needs and prints.
  • Maintain work area and production equipment in clean and orderly condition.
  • Follow all safety work rules.
  • Handle assorted raw materials, steel parts, and steel scrap.
  • Perform precision smoothing, sharpening, polishing, or grinding on a variety of welded assemblies.
  • Responsible for the movement of necessary inventory and parts.
