Overview

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is a nationwide tank construction company specializing in designing, engineering, repairing, and constructing above-ground metal storage tanks. They are seeking a full-time Foreman/Tank Builder to provide site supervision and leadership on construction projects while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide site supervision and senior leadership on construction projects.
  • Act as the point of contact with customers, vendors, and subcontractors on site.
  • Maintain safety, quality, and productivity on the job site.
  • Understand the contract scope of work and identify field-initiated scope changes.
  • Foster a safety culture within the crew.
  • Eliminate rejected or sloppy work to ensure quality.
  • Enhance field productivity and perform projects under budget and on time.
  • Balance customer satisfaction with project profitability.
  • Provide craft knowledge and experience to the crew.
  • Evaluate field employees for promotion and provide guidance and training.
  • Assist in recruiting field workers.
  • Care for and maintain all tooling and equipment.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in company practices.
  • Represent PTS professionally to customers and employees.
  • Contribute to pre-construction planning efforts.
  • Communicate effectively with support staff.
  • Track project progress with the project manager.
  • Ensure employees have received necessary training and certifications.
  • Complete necessary paperwork including time sheets and audits.
  • Advise project management of potential problems and assist in resolving them.
  • Provide final project paperwork to the Design Group.

Requirements

  • Great communication and organization skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and suggest improvements.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Willingness to authorize background checks.
  • No criminal convictions for dishonesty, sexual misconduct, violence, or terrorism.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to authorize motor vehicle driving record checks.
  • Willingness to submit to drug and alcohol testing.
  • Ability to weld is a plus.
