Overview

The Production Technician II role involves performing electrical, mechanical, and lighting assembly and testing in a manufacturing production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical, mechanical, and lighting assembly and testing using standard and specialized test and measurement equipment.
  • Work from blueprints and other specifications, using hand tools and test equipment.
  • Test faulty equipment and inspect mechanical and electrical units.
  • Diagnose malfunctions of units and repair or replace defective units.
  • Prepare wires and connectors, including abrading, etching, priming, and pre-coating.
  • Interpret instructions to mix various epoxies and paints for bonding.
  • Document technical assembly and test processes with calibrated tools and equipment.
  • Verify quality of work regarding assembly, solder, and lighting.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and understand blueprint drawings/specifications.
  • Effective use of basic math and algebra.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Team-oriented with a continuous improvement outlook.
  • Knowledge of solder systems, wire strippers, and crimpers preferred.
  • Vocational, High School diploma, or GED; or 1-3 years related experience.
