Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required. Universal EPA Refrigeration Certificate. Demonstrated knowledge of the basic principles of construction. Valid Black Seal Boiler License preferred (or willingness to obtain within a year). Clear, proactive, and positive communication skills with students, staff, and visitors. Must be available to work flexible hours/overtime, as required. 12 Months, expected to respond to emergency situations. Such other qualifications of academic, professional and personal excellence as the Rahway Board of Education may specify. Must be able to maintain the physical stamina to perform lifting, prolonged standing, crawling, climbing, and working in various types of weather. Must demonstrate the ability to adhere to safety practices and to comply with District procedures for use of cleaning products and equipment. Clear, proactive, and positive communication skills with students, staff, and visitors. Must be able to comply with District and State regulations as they relate to District building and safety. Such other qualifications of professional and personal excellence as the Rahway Board of Education may specify.

Term of Employment: 12 months, 40 hours per week

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Salary: In accordance with the negotiated agreement. The minimum starting salary is $65,531 (Step 1)
