Watts is a company dedicated to providing safe, clean water for the world through innovative and sustainable solutions. The Technical Service Technician role involves supporting sales representatives and customers to ensure product satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers and service technicians regarding product and service issues.
  • Troubleshoot service-related customer complaints.
  • Participate in ongoing development trainings both onsite and external.
  • Support the creation of technical service procedures and documentation.
  • Assist in maintaining Operations and Maintenance manuals.
  • Conduct product/service-related training seminars for Representatives and Service Technicians.
  • Visit customers for on-site troubleshooting of product or service problems.
  • Develop preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between technical service and engineering for troubleshooting requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of plant processes and equipment for plant tours.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams for new products and problem-solving.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Assume responsibility for projects and duties assigned by the Technical Services Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 5 years of experience in the heating and domestic water heating industry.
  • Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, communications, controls, and hardware.
  • Knowledge of installation, operation, and maintenance of steam and gas fired equipment.
  • Understanding of applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices.
  • Must establish employment eligibility and complete background checks.
