Overview

As a Machine Repair Mechanic at Lockheed Martin, you will be part of the Machine Repair Team responsible for maintaining complex factory equipment. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing various machine tools and supporting systems to ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum-type equipment, including machine tools, elevators, and compressors.
  • Layout, machine, and restore parts to original tolerances; grind ways and install auxiliary equipment such as coolant pumps and lubricating systems.
  • Set up and operate precision measuring instruments, including optical tooling, to verify repairs and modifications.
  • Instruct and mentor one or two mechanics on assigned jobs, providing clear guidance and training as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly work area and promptly report any unusual conditions to the lead or supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Two (2) to three (3) years' experience on CNC machines.
