Overview

The Master HVAC Technician position at Villanova University involves operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting HVACR systems to ensure a comfortable environment across university facilities. The role requires significant experience and expertise in HVACR, along with a commitment to the university's mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Operates, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs building HVACR equipment.
  • Installs HVACR units and ductwork.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs HVACR units and control devices.
  • Maintains and repairs electrical equipment and refrigeration systems.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints and schematics.
  • Performs brazing, soldering, pipefitting, welding, and fabrication.
  • Coordinates repairs with other trades.
  • Assists in furniture and event setups.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent and formal training in HVACR.
  • Possess EPA Universal/R410A license.
  • Minimum of ten years of service in the HVACR trade.
  • Must have personal hand tools and be able to use a multimeter.
  • Ability to research information for repairs.
  • Ability to recover, recycle, and reclaim refrigerants.
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance on HVACR equipment.
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.

  • Core hours are M-F 7:30am until 4:00pm.
