This position as a Composite Cell Operator on the 2nd shift involves various responsibilities related to molding operations and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all federal and state environmental, health and safety regulations.
  • Perform job in compliance with Greene, Tweed & Co. Quality Policy.
  • Conduct all pre-molding operations and run pre-molding equipment.
  • Perform mold prepping, molding, and press operations.
  • Acknowledge and troubleshoot press alarms and molding problems.
  • Degate/waterjet, finish, and visually inspect parts.
  • Perform all inspection requirements using measuring systems.
  • Conduct non-destructive testing as required.
  • Execute post molding, assembly operations, and component installation.
  • Follow all SPC, process, and assembly procedures.
  • Read and follow detailed part/assembly drawings.
  • Perform warehouse functions for finished part receipts and issues.
  • Meet or exceed all quality and production standards.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and perform TPM schedules.
  • Record information on GT data collection system.
  • Load and unload fixtures as required.
  • Maintain annual quality certification and ensure parts meet quality standards.
  • Measure and verify parts using appropriate equipment.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of GD&T and apply drawing tolerances.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret production drawings.
  • Mechanical aptitude/background with proven ability to operate hand tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical and inspection tools.
  • Ability to analyze charts/graphs and interpret quantitative data.
  • Self-directed, independent worker with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to pass a verbal and written skills assessment.
  • Applicants must be in good standing under the Company’s work rule policy.
