Overview

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the safety and continuity of factory production through effective equipment and site maintenance. This role involves collaboration with various teams and adherence to safety standards in a dynamic industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the industrial engineering team to set up new equipment in the maintenance schedule.
  • Maintain logs on all completed maintenance.
  • Coordinate with third-party service providers for contract maintenance jobs.
  • Participate in the established 5S facility program and support all requirements of ISO standards.
  • Maintain all necessary hand tools and power tools used for in-house maintenance jobs.
  • Collaborate with production teams to gain insight on the performance of equipment in use.
  • Ensure production areas are kept clean and organized and present a professional environment.
  • Support the facilities manager with communication and feedback on all facility-related topics.
  • Participate in production meetings to ensure maintenance schedules support company goals.
  • Participate in intra-department meetings to discuss scheduling, production, and quality issues.
  • Own team goals and results, promoting the goals to the team and reporting results continuously to management.

Requirements

  • High School or GED required; Associate degree in technical discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in maintenance functions in an industrial production environment.
  • Knowledge of scheduling, planning, and prioritizing techniques in a production environment.
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools and the safety requirements associated with each.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and local facility regulations.
  • Knowledge of PPE requirements.
  • Knowledge of the operation of equipment such as scissor lifts and forklifts.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with safety practices in an industrial environment.
