Overview

Martin Marietta is seeking a Pit Loader Operator who is safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. The role involves safely operating a Pit Loader and maintaining product stockpiles while promoting site safety.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a pit loader within company guidelines and safety standards.
  • Complete daily pre and post inspection of working areas.
  • Perform pre-shift safety inspection on equipment and report needed repairs.
  • Ensure safe operations around conveyors, surge piles, and crushers.
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Maintain safe traffic flow throughout the site.
  • Operate other equipment such as excavators and haul trucks as needed.
  • Aid in the training of co-workers as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Possess a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Have experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment.
  • Have six months of experience in the operation and maintenance of a front-end loader (preferred).

Additional Information

  • Hours are Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 6:00 pm including weekends and overtime as necessary.
