Overview

Georgia Tech is a top-ranked public research university in Atlanta, committed to academic excellence and diversity. The TEMP-Lab/Research Support position involves providing support services in the operation and maintenance of an academic or research laboratory.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine mechanical and environmental tests
  • Perform basic machining with saws, drill press, mill, etc.
  • Monitor tests and recording test data
  • Basic data processing using Microsoft Excel
  • Perform equipment maintenance and repair tasks
  • Set up/construct electrical and mechanical tests
  • Prepare basic test reports

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma
  • Up to two years of job related experience
  • Working knowledge in the use of instrumentation and other lab equipment
  • Skills in inventory management and the use of specialized computer applications
