Overview

WITRON is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain a state-of-the-art automated material handling system in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will prioritize safety, maximize system performance, and excel in both electrical and mechanical tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Approach all tasks with a safety-first mindset.
  • Enhance system performance and minimize downtime through maintenance activities.
  • Engage in electrical and mechanical tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Assist the production team with fault correction, coaching, and troubleshooting.
  • Aid in the installation of new components or refurbishment of existing components.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities through system knowledge and enhancements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in industrial technology or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of one to two years of experience in a relevant electrical and/or mechanical role required; five years preferred.
  • Strong skills in electrical (3-Phase, 480V, DC, and 24V controls) and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with electrics/mechanics in drive technology (motors/gears).
  • Knowledge of control technology (PLC/controls/inverters).
  • Understanding of wiring diagrams and electrical measuring techniques.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite and proprietary monitoring programs.
  • Experience maintaining material handling systems in a light industry or distribution center environment preferred.

  • Working at heights of up to 80-100 feet while wearing fall-arrest gear.
