Overview

Hartzell Aerospace Welding is seeking a skilled TIG Welder specializing in aluminum to join their team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in welding thin aluminum materials with precision, ensuring high-quality and structurally sound welds that meet industry and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding on aluminum parts, components, and assemblies.
  • Fabricate and weld customer parts and assemblies as requested.
  • Work on high variety, low volume part work.
  • Ensure no less than 90% of completed parts pass inspection.
  • Offer viable semi-annual process improvement initiatives.
  • Follow all safety policies and guidelines.
  • Complete necessary documentation for proper tracking of work.
  • Maintain general shop housekeeping.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Proven experience as a TIG Welder with a focus on aluminum.
  • Ability to weld on aluminum thickness of .035" to .065".
  • Successful completion of accredited welding course or equivalent on-the-job training.
  • 5-10 years of high-level TIG welding experience.
  • Willingness to follow both verbal and written work instructions.
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
