Overview

The Service Engineer position at DMG MORI USA in Arizona involves providing maintenance and repair assistance for CNC machine tools, requiring significant travel and a strong technical background.

Responsibilities

  • Perform machine installation, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Create and update documentation of technical information.
  • Develop, prepare, generate, and analyze ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to Service.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to help others and be a team member.
  • Provide assistance and training to Customer’s Service Engineers on newer product lines.
  • Establish and build exemplary communication and customer service relationships.
  • Manage difficult customer situations positively and respond promptly to customer needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Associates Degree in a technical related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC machine tools.
  • Experience with DMG or MORI SEIKI machines, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and/or Siemens controls is a plus.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
  • Proven ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC ladder diagrams.
  • Basic computer literacy and working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment.

Additional Information

  • Full Time, Core Business Hours
  • 50% or more travel required
  • Employee is expected to work at the Technical Center when not visiting customers.
