Overview

At Boeing, we innovate and collaborate to make the world a better place. The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Boiler Operator-High Pressure in Ridley Park, PA, responsible for operating and performing preventive maintenance on high pressure steam boilers and auxiliary equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain high pressure steam generating equipment for heating, hot water, and processing.
  • Perform systematic checks of combustion-control systems and water-feed regulators.
  • Make repairs, dismantle, clean, and reassemble burners.
  • Tend to auxiliary equipment and adjust steam pressure, fuel-air ratio, and water levels.
  • Ensure economical operation of heating system by making adjustments for CO2 readings and stack temperatures.
  • Order and maintain supply or replacement parts and complete work orders.
  • Provide instruction to employees designated to assist with duties.
  • Perform work in accordance with instructions from management and company standards.

Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years’ experience in the operation and preventative maintenance of high pressure boiler systems.
  • Candidate must be able to work any shift, as assigned.

Additional Information

  • This is an hourly position governed by the UAW Collective Bargaining agreement.
  • This position will be on 3rd shift, but must be open to all shifts.
  • Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
