Overview

EssilorLuxottica is a global leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of ophthalmic lenses, frames, and sunglasses. The Maintenance Tech 2 position focuses on performing maintenance actions on facility equipment to support production needs, ensuring safety compliance and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties of a Maintenance Tech I.
  • Conduct computer, printer, and hardware repairs and installations.
  • Perform basic plumbing tasks including soldering and pipe fitting.
  • Conduct basic metal fabrication and welding.
  • Log and maintain equipment performance data.
  • Analyze equipment failure data to identify trends and implement preventive measures.
  • Adjust and calibrate machinery to meet precise specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
  • Communicate maintenance activities to team members and production staff.
  • Collaborate with equipment manufacturers and vendors for technical support.
  • Evaluate Preventative Maintenance activities and recommend improvements.
  • Install, remove, and relocate equipment safely.
  • Train other personnel on PM procedures and equipment safety.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety policies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in related field preferred.
  • 5+ years previous related experience and/or training required.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment both electronically and mechanically.
  • Knowledge in use of electronic test equipment.
  • Basic understanding of PLC operation.
  • Proficient in the use of a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
  • Basic refrigeration knowledge.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to learn and retain complex equipment functions.
  • Low Voltage Electrical License preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
