Overview

At Alstom, a leader in transport networks, the Production Operator - Welder is responsible for executing various production tasks in a factory setting, focusing on welding and assembly processes while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Perform arc welding on stainless steel using MIG/MAG.
  • Conduct pre-welding assembly and tack welding.
  • Carry out visual inspection of welds and quality assurance.
  • Guide junior welders and maintain robotic equipment.
  • Provide technical welding expertise.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Set up weld equipment inspection.
  • Perform all assembly tasks and other manufacturing requirements as instructed.
  • Prepare and maintain production areas and equipment.
  • Execute manufacturing tasks as scheduled by the MRP system.
  • Conduct operations in alignment with work instructions.
  • Perform quality checks throughout the production process.
  • Identify parts and report any deviations or quality concerns to the Team Lead.
  • Pack finished vehicles and/or parts for shipment.
  • Complete tally sheets when required.
  • Adhere to 5S, ESD, and EHS regulations.
  • Perform self-inspections.
  • Maintain special process qualifications as required.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of weld testing.
  • Special process certification required for torquing, crimping, and riveting.
  • Two years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong commitment to quality, effective teamwork, and clear communication.
  • Proficiency in the local language for daily operations and collaboration.
  • Arc welding certification from SENAI or an equivalent body.
  • Knowledge of MIG, STICK, and TIG welding methods.

What you'll be running
