Overview

The Electronic Technician position offers a direct hire opportunity with competitive pay and full benefits, focusing on testing switchgear and electrical components. Candidates with hands-on electrical experience, including military veterans and those with HVAC backgrounds, are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Test switchgear, breakers, relays, panelboards, and transfer switches before shipment.
  • Perform primary and secondary injection on breakers.
  • Conduct Megger and hipot testing, plus contact resistance, timing, and trip tests.
  • Test relays for correct function and coordination.
  • Verify every unit against the one-line and the project spec.
  • Document results and flag anomalies to engineering.
  • Upload a settings file for PLC work.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in LV/MV switchgear testing, hipot testing, or Megger insulation testing.
  • Journeyman or apprentice electricians, HVAC technicians, or military veterans with hands-on electrical experience are also eligible.
