Overview

Airgas is seeking a Bulk Project Engineer in Horsham, PA, to guide and support design, installation, repair, and troubleshooting of bulk and cryogenic freezer systems. The role emphasizes safety, project management, and collaboration with various teams to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and support design, installation, repair, and troubleshooting of bulk and cryogenic freezer systems.
  • Provide technical support to field service technicians and Bulk Specialists.
  • Communicate and support the safety culture for the Bulk Operations Team.
  • Plan, coordinate, and guide complex bulk system design projects.
  • Work with Field Service Coordinators to manage equipment ordering and shipment.
  • Create and manage P&IDs, layout drawings, and design calculations.
  • Answer project-related status and technical questions from teams.
  • Participate in weekly calls with Bulk Sales and Operations Teams.
  • Support adherence to the Airgas Bulk Installation Manual and safety standards.
  • Communicate directly with customer technical representatives.
  • Support engineering activities according to project schedules.
  • Review and deliver quality engineering documents for field use.
  • Facilitate communication and cooperation among project team members.
  • Analyze Lessons Learned and implement necessary changes.
  • Organize and participate in design reviews and close-out action items.

Requirements

  • BS Engineering degree essential or up to five additional years of related experience.
  • 5 years in a merchant/packaged gas project coordinator or technician role.
  • Ability to effectively organize priorities and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical, welding, brazing, cutting, and fabrication technologies preferred.
  • Proficiency in Google products such as Gmail, Docs, Slides, and Sheets.
  • Collaborative leadership capabilities.
