Overview

At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems. We are looking for an Entry Level Structural Engineer to join our Federal Buildings team in Atlanta, GA, Orlando, FL, or Knoxville, TN, focusing on both Federal and private sector projects.

Responsibilities

  • Perform increasingly complex calculations and analysis as structural design develops.
  • Work with Designers to communicate structural requirements on paper and in models.
  • Gain experience in multiple subject areas of Structural Engineering.
  • Understand principles of analysis and design of vertical and lateral structural systems.
  • Assist in the performance of structural analysis and design for projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with emphasis on Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
  • 0-2 years relevant work experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage workload and meet commitments.

  • This position is considered hybrid and will require you to work in the local office or project site a minimum of 2 days per week.
