This vacancy is for a WG-3703-10, Welder located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION FACILITY HONOLULU in HONOLULU, Hawaii. The position involves performing welding work in support of the US Coast Guard's Naval Engineering Support Unit.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding work on lighthouses, aids to Navigation (AtoN), barges, boats, ships, small vessels and their associated equipment.
  • Weld various components of a ship including the shell, broken or cracked engine parts, framing, inner bottoms, tanks, boilers, decks, bulkheads, superstructures, masts, stacks, ventilation ducts, railing, class I piping and similar components.
  • Weld prefabricated subassemblies, buoys, davits, pressure vessel tanks, piping and similar items.
