Overview

The Welder is responsible for operating hand and power welding tools while adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. This position aims to achieve excellence in welding operations to ensure high-quality products and safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment using various welding processes.
  • Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding process to avoid material distortion.
  • Provide backup or assistance throughout the yard as needed.
  • Report equipment deficiencies or malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Maintain welding equipment and replace as necessary.
  • Support the Company's Internal Control process and communicate operational issues.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in the welding field preferred.
  • Ability to decipher technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models required.
