Overview

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Welder for the 3rd shift, offering a competitive hourly rate and various benefits from day one of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding.
  • Work from manufacturing information and instructions.
  • Determine necessary parts and obtain materials from stock areas.
  • Assist other fabricators and operators as required.
  • Deliver material to/from workstations using material handling equipment.
  • Operate spot welders and interface with robotic welding.
  • Complete preparation steps such as wiping and grinding components.
  • Pick up and place scrap in appropriate containers.
  • Operate various metal-fabrication equipment as directed.
  • Inspect parts and keep accurate records.
  • Maintain equipment and complete maintenance check sheets.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of one year of MIG and TIG welding experience or a technical diploma in welding.
  • Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the work location.
  • No immigration sponsorship or support for this position.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
