Overview

The Aluminum Welder is responsible for setting up and operating welding equipment to weld and assemble trailers, hoists, and fabricated parts according to production specifications. The role includes contributing to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain prompt and reliable attendance to meet production needs.
  • Perform basic math calculations for measuring, assembling, and troubleshooting.
  • Set up and adjust welding equipment as needed.
  • Read and interpret complex instructions, blueprints, and measuring devices.
  • Work collaboratively with coworkers and other departments.
  • Learn and operate multiple machines or jigs within the assigned job area.
  • Rotate between tasks or stations as required.
  • Maintain a steady and efficient work pace while meeting quality and production standards.
  • Work overtime when required to meet customer demand.
  • Follow all safety procedures and report hazards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of continuous welding experience, preferably with aluminum or steel.
  • Ability to use various measuring tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate in English.

Additional Information

  • Must be able to work between 6:00 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Occasional Saturdays may be required to meet production needs.
