Overview

PIRTEK Staten Island is seeking a Hose Assembly Technician to provide hands-on service for hydraulic and industrial hoses across Staten Island and the greater NYC area. This role involves real problem-solving and responsibility, catering to various industries including marine, construction, and industrial machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a fully outfitted PIRTEK mobile service van across Staten Island and the greater NYC area.
  • Respond to on-site breakdowns, routinely on an emergency basis.
  • Diagnose, replace, and install hydraulic and industrial hoses.
  • Work on marine equipment, tugboats, and shipyards.
  • Service construction equipment and industrial machinery.
  • Be part of the on-call rotation, including nights and weekends.
  • Communicate clearly with customers about issues and solutions.
  • Maintain truck, tools, and paperwork in order.

Requirements

  • Enjoy working with hands and solving problems.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Respect for processes and safety.
  • Mechanically inclined, with experience in cars, boats, or heavy equipment being a plus.
  • Willingness to work in dirty or tight spaces.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background and drug check.
